Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons rank in the current year’s NBA 2K’s ratings

The initial ratings for NBA 2K were released Monday night and everyone know where two Sixers stand.

The top 20 players were uncovered as well as a few players just on the outskirts.

Joel Embiid came in at a 91 overall, the highest of any true center and was rated as the tenth-best player in the game. While Embiid’s rating appears to be mostly reasonable, it is strange that he’s just up one point from last season. Embiid took a statistical jump across the board this season.

Ben Simmons came up barely short of the top 20 with a 87 overall — players 15 through 20 were all an 88. It’s reasonable for wonder if Donovan Mitchell (88), who finished runner-up to Simmons for Rookie of the Year in 2017-18, ought to be ahead of Simmons. In any case, as Embiid’s, Simmons’ rating appears to be reasonable.
